I am very active in DeKalb Central schools and our community as a whole. I am a strong advocate for public school education and I value engagement, collaboration, and development between our community and schools.

I am a proud Baron graduate, a proud wife of a Baron graduate, and a proud mom of three current Barons. I am a retired Preschool Director and retired teacher.

I was proud to support DeKalb Central Schools at the DeKalb Central Foundation golf outing.

The mission of DeKalb Central Foundation is to promote community and district alliance by generating resources that support intentional innovation initiatives of the DeKalb County Central United School District. I was proud to serve with Fortify Life to provide food to those who need it most in our community. Fortify Life partners with people to remove barriers to help them achieve their goals and dreams. This group is doing important and worthwhile work in our community. Learn more about this amazing organization at fortifylife.org.

While working as the director at a local preschool, I had big goals to serve the youngest members of our community. In order to achieve some of those goals, I coordinated a fundraiser to sell cinnamon and pecan rolls. With the help of volunteers, we made tens of thousands of rolls each year! We smelled like cinnamon for days!

Most nights, you can find me cheering on my daughters in golf, volleyball, basketball, and tennis! GO BARONS!

I was proud to support our Baron athletes and coaches in the annual Ron Kock Memorial Golf Outing. Ron Kock was a dear friend to our family and one of the best people that I knew. He was a longtime teacher at DeKalb Central, a Hall of Fame football coach, and a successful athletic director. His inspiration and support of our young people was unmatched. We miss him dearly.
